Florence Rose Mugisha
22 years teaching home economics in Dar es Salaam
- 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Dar es Salaam Primary School
- 1980 to 2016
- English, Swahili
I taught home economics at Dar es Salaam Primary School in Dar es Salaam from 1980 to 2016. Most days I taught Grade 4, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Florence
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

You taught me home economics in 2022 at Dar es Salaam Primary School. I still remember the last day before the summer holidays. Truly.
