Fitzroy E. Harris

Taught biology at Half-Way Tree Middle School

🇯🇲 Half-Way Tree, Saint Andrew, Jamaica
2014 to 2022
English

I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and eight years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Fitzroy

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

Subjects taught

Biology Environmental science

What gifts mean to Fitzroy: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
