Finn Van der Meer

Economics teacher at Haarlem Public School, 2005 to 2023

  • 🇳🇱 Haarlem, North Holland, Netherlands
  • Haarlem Public School
  • 2005 to 2023
  • Dutch, French
I came to teaching late, after working as a bus driver, and 18 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Finn

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
