Fikru Fikru Abera
Youth cricket coach and mentor
- 🇪🇹 Hawassa, Sidama, Ethiopia
- Since 1988
- English, Amharic
I'm a cricket coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 1,250 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never raise my voice.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Fikru
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Fikru: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
