Festus Michael Okonkwo
34 years teaching economics in Awka
- 🇳🇬 Awka, Anambra, Nigeria
- Fairview Public School
- 2014 to 2022
- English
For eight years I was the economics teacher at Fairview Public School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I run most mornings. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Festus
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Festus: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
