Festus Henry Akinwale
Coached gymnastics for ten years in Ikeja
- 🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
- Ikeja Youth Club
- 2009 to 2019
- English, Spanish
I coached gymnastics at Ikeja Youth Club from 2009 to 2019. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Festus
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
Sports or skills coached
What gifts mean to Festus: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

I still think about the last day before the summer holidays. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Ciudad de México.
