Fernando P. Garcia
Spanish and chemistry teacher, San Diego
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- Westbrook Middle School
- 2003 to 2021
- English, Filipino
Westbrook Middle School was my second home. I taught Spanish there from 2003 to 2021, mostly first-year students.
Over the years I had 650 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Fernando
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Fernando: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
