For 22 years I've run the boxing program at Lotus Athletic Club in Xalapa. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Fernando
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Fernando: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
