I taught biology at Our Lady of Peace High School in Petrópolis from 1981 to 2011. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk. Over the years I had 1,140 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Fernanda

If you were in my Grade 6 class, you probably remember the time the class pet escaped.

What gifts mean to Fernanda: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
