Fernanda Simone Medeiros
Mentor in first-generation students and software
- 🇧🇷 Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Summit Youth Network
- 1979 to 2012

I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 1,650 people through Summit Youth Network.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Fernanda: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.

you helped me get my first first-generation students job in 1992. I still have your notes!
