I taught environmental science and music at San Francisco Girls' School, San Francisco. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Fernanda
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
