My subject is anthropology, and for 48 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Hillcrest Institute of Technology.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I run most mornings.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Fernanda
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.

What gifts mean to Fernanda: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
