I taught special education at Holy Cross Girls' School in Columbia from 1988 to 1999. Most days I taught primary school children, and I never turned anyone away.
Outside the classroom I'm learning the guitar. Inside it, I never turned anyone away.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Fernanda
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Fernanda: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
