Femi Uchenna Idowu

Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices

🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
The Ikeja Works
Since 1996
English

I've worked in blacksmithing since 1996. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 1,050 apprentices. The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 24 years later for another job.

More about Femi

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
