I've volunteered with Istanbul Community Kitchen since 1979. I started on a Saturday morning "just to help out" and never left.
I'm not an expert in anything, I just show up. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

We run on goodwill and a very old kettle.
What gifts mean to Fatma: A gift would go toward supplies for our weekly sessions.
