I taught music at Greenfield Technical College in Soweto from 1984 to 1999. Most days I taught primary school children, and I played music while people worked.
I coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Fatima
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Fatima: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
