For 44 years I've run the rowing program at Lagos Good Shepherd Swimming Club in Lagos. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
