Faruk Sajib Sen
Helping people break into first-generation students
- 🇧🇩 Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Holy Cross Foundation
- Since 2008
- English, Bengali, Spanish
For 18 years I've mentored people in first-generation students and trades. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Faruk
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Faruk: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
