Farhana Priya Zaman
Early years and mathematics teacher, Dhaka
- 🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Since 1998
- English, Bengali
For 28 years I have been the early years teacher at Dhaka Primary School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Farhana
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
