Farhana Lamia Bhuiyan
Sitar player and teacher in Narayanganj
- 🇧🇩 Narayanganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Narayanganj Orchestra
- 1996 to 2014
- English, Bengali
I've played sitar from 1996 to 2014, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 13 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I'm always reading two books at once.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Farhana
I wrote my first song when I was 19. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Farhana: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
