Ezra T. Cook
Master of shoemaking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Corpus Christi, Texas, United States
- Bamboo Trades Guild
- 2000 to 2022
- English
I've worked in shoemaking from 2000 to 2022. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 570 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.

What gifts mean to Ezra: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
