I coached martial arts at San Francisco Football Club from 1981 to 2005. Most of my players were between 8 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
