I taught home economics at Birmingham Girls' School in Birmingham from 1990 to 2021. Most days I taught Year 10, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 1,360 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
