I've coached hockey at Frangipani Youth Club since 1988. Most of my players were between 12 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Everett
If you played for me, you probably remember the rainy sports day.
What gifts mean to Everett: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
