Evans Mussa Shayo
Keeper of the reading groups
- 🇹🇿 Mwanza, Mwanza, Tanzania
- Kilimanjaro Reading Room
- 1983 to 2005
- English, Swahili
For 22 years I looked after the shelves, the card catalog and the regulars at Kilimanjaro Reading Room.
Some of my favorite visitors were children who came for the heating and stayed for the books.
More about Evans
If you ever returned a book late to me, you're forgiven.

What gifts mean to Evans: I'd put a gift toward a reading corner at the nearby school.
