I've coached chess at Naivasha Community Club since 2014. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Evans
If you played for me, you probably remember the quiz night we nearly won.
What gifts mean to Evans: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
