I taught social studies at St. Anne's Primary School in Dar es Salaam from 2005 to 2016. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I ran the debate team after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
