I've been a nurse for 39 years, most of them in school nursing at Jacksonville Community Hospital in Jacksonville. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I fix old bicycles.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
