I taught home economics at Tacoma Grammar School in Tacoma from 1980 to 2008. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 840 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
