Esther Winnie Juma
37 years teaching design and technology in Zanzibar City
- 🇹🇿 Zanzibar City, Zanzibar Urban/West, Tanzania
- Gateway Academy
- 1988 to 2021
- English, Swahili, Spanish
Gateway Academy was my second home. I taught design and technology there from 1988 to 2021, mostly first-year students.
Outside the classroom I watch every football match going. Inside it, I never once raised my voice.
Thank you for stopping by.
More about Esther
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Esther: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
