Esperanza N. Torres
Coached hockey for 34 years in Madrid
- 🇪🇸 Madrid, Madrid, Spain
- 1984 to 2018
- Spanish
I'm a hockey coach. I never went pro, but I got to see 1,600 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
What gifts mean to Esperanza: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
