Esperanza A. Torres
Coached cycling for 45 years in Los Angeles
- 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
- Highland Swimming Club
- Since 1981
- English, Spanish
I've coached cycling at Highland Swimming Club since 1981. Most of my players were between 8 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I play music while people worked.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.

If you played for me, you probably remember the time the class pet escaped.

What gifts mean to Esperanza: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

You taught us how to lose properly. Worth more than any trophy. Greetings from Pattaya.
