I've been a nurse for 40 years, most of them in rehabilitation at Eastgate Community Hospital in Jakarta. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I'm still learning every day.
