Eri Sakura Maruyama

Design and technology teacher at Tokyo Academy, 1985 to 2019

  • 🇯🇵 Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan
  • Tokyo Academy
  • 1985 to 2019
  • Japanese
For 34 years I was the design and technology teacher at Tokyo Academy. I taught Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

More about Eri

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
