Eren Cengiz Altun
Coached wrestling for 28 years in Kadıköy
- 🇹🇷 Kadıköy, Istanbul, Türkiye
- St. Mary's Sports Club
- 1992 to 2020
- English, Turkish
For 28 years I ran the wrestling program at St. Mary's Sports Club in Kadıköy. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Eren
If you played for me, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

What gifts mean to Eren: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
