For twelve years I was the social studies teacher at Holy Cross High School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 720 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Erdem
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
