Ephrem Girma Melaku
Choir director and singer
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Addis Ababa Ensemble
- 1993 to 2003
- English
I play tabla and drums. I started in 1993 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
My favorite gigs are the small ones where somebody cries a little in the third row.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ephrem
I wrote my first song when I was 15. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Ephrem: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
