Emon Hridoy Akter
Retired home economics teacher from Kilimanjaro Middle School
- 🇧🇩 Narayanganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Kilimanjaro Middle School
- 2001 to 2014
- English, Bengali
For 13 years I was the home economics teacher at Kilimanjaro Middle School. I taught Grade 4 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I run most mornings. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Emon
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Emon: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me home economics in 2007 at Kilimanjaro Middle School. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.
