I've been a nurse for 31 years, most of them in orthopedics at Greenfield Maternity Hospital in Narayanganj. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
