Emmanuel G. Pineda
Teacher at Silverlake High School, loves social studies

For ten years I was the social studies teacher at Silverlake High School. I taught teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I ran the chess club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I sing in a choir.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Emmanuel
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Emmanuel: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
