I've coached athletics at Saskatoon Boxing Gym since 2016. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
More about Emma
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Emma: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
