I've spent 23 years as a lecturer in economics at Meadowbank College in Duisburg. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I walk the dog by the river.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
