Emma M. Harper
29 years teaching home economics in Columbus
- 🇺🇸 Columbus, Ohio, United States
- Columbus Technical College
- Since 2012
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 14 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've run the science fair after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I garden badly but happily.
More about Emma
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Emma: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
