Emily Mazibuko
Mentor in recovery and trades
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Johannesburg Community Trust
- 2005 to 2014
- English, Afrikaans, Spanish
For nine years I've mentored people in recovery and trades. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Emily
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
What gifts mean to Emily: A gift would go toward free mentoring sessions for people who can't pay.
