Emilio Castillo

English literature and music teacher, St. Petersburg

🇺🇸 St. Petersburg, Florida, United States
Hope Public School
Since 1988
English, Spanish

I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 38 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Over the years I've had 680 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Emilio

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
