Emery Hart
Physical education and history teacher, San Diego
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- Elmwood Grammar School
- Since 2013
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 13 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 720 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Emery
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

You taught me physical education in 2021 at Elmwood Grammar School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
