Emer R. Mahony
16 years teaching biology in Limerick
- 🇮🇪 Limerick, Munster, Ireland
- Holy Cross Technical College
- 1997 to 2022
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 25 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I sing in a choir. Inside it, my door was open at lunch.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Emer
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me biology in 1998 at Holy Cross Technical College. I still remember the time the class pet escaped.

you taught me biology in 2013 at Holy Cross Technical College. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand. Truly.
