I've been a nurse for 35 years, most of them in midwifery at Meadowbank Maternity Hospital in Epe. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave. Small things matter when someone is frightened.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Emeka
Some of my best friends I met on the ward.
What gifts mean to Emeka: A gift would go toward blankets and small comforts for patients without family.
