- Highland Middle School

I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and 19 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Elsa
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Elsa: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

you taught me history in 2025 at Highland Middle School. I still remember the surprise birthday cake. Truly.

You taught me history in 2007 at Highland Middle School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
