I've been a nurse for 38 years, most of them in palliative care at Orchid Maternity Hospital in Jakarta Selatan. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
